From hog farms to corn fields to wastewater treatment plants, I've been working in agriculture and sustainable technologies for the last fifteen years.I've also worked as a volunteer and community organizer around issues like housing, getting progressives elected to local office, and anti-war advocacy. <h4>Millions of Americans are stepping up to fight back against Trump's authoritarian and immoral actions.</h4>Fighting Trump, however, requires a platform that's more than just "being against Trump." For ten years, the only consistent message from the national Democratic leadership has been "being against Trump." And the result was two Trump presidencies.The only way we will win against Trump's corrupt and violent agenda is by fundamentally improving the conditions of the working class, funded by reigning in corporate greed and wasteful military spending on foreign wars.This campaign isn't simply about winning a single seat in the US Senate. This campaign is about supporting the movement where working class Americans are stepping up and running for office. This movement is about creating a broad coalition in solidarity with each other, advocating for the universal right of dignity for workers and oppressed communities.

We need to stand up against Trump's dangerous agenda that is militarizing our communities and stripping funding to social services for tax cuts for billionaires.

Fighting Trump's Agenda

It is absurd that the richest country in the world won’t provide universal healthcare to its citizens, when over 70 countries have guaranteed healthcare for their citizens. Over 14 million Americans have medical debt, with almost half of all bankruptcies caused by medical bills.Democrat and Republican politicians enjoy free, tax-funded healthcare while millions of Americans have medical debt and can’t afford basic care for their families.Corporations give millions to Congress to uphold the predatory industry of private health insurance, which makes billions denying claims for life-saving medical treatment.Medicare for All would see a gradual enrollment of Americans into the Medicare program. Americans could still access private healthcare, but it would not longer be subsidized.

Politicians in DC enjoy free, tax-funded healthcare while millions of Americans have medical debt and can’t afford basic care for their families. Healthcare is a human right. Americans are owed what's ours!

MEDICARE FOR ALL

<h4>Neither party is putting forward real policies at the federal level to meet the existential challenge of climate change.</h4>We need scientists in Congress who understand the real threat of climate change. While Biden passed large investments in renewable energy, emissions continued going up in his administration as the US became the largest exporter of liquefied natural gas on the planet.<h3>An Anti War agenda is a Climate Agenda</h3>Any politician who isn't talking about reigning in military spending is not serious about truly meeting the challenge of climate change. The US military is the single largest emitter of greenhouse gas emissions on the planet. The environmental impact of maintaining 700 military bases around the world is massive. We need an unprecedented level of international cooperation to decarbonize global industries. There is very little hope of doing that while we are escalating conflicts around the world. We need to take money out of our $1 trillion military budget and spend this on investments in emissions-free energy and public transit.<h3>We need to reform agricultural policy to encourage more sustainable farming</h3>Federal subsidies are mostly only to commodity crops like corn, soybean, and wheat. This has pushed the agricultural economy toward industrial, monoculture farming that uses large amounts of fertilizer and pesticides. Over 40% of corn grown in the US is used for ethanol, which has a large environmental footprint. We could instead be encouraging next-gen technologies that make ethanol from carbon negative crops like switchgrass.<h4>We need to cap the number of data centers being built in the US </h4>Big Tech corporations are building out massive infrastructure for new data centers that are mostly being used for unnecessary AI and surveillance purposes. Data centers also have a huge energy consumption, and are leading to an increase in emissions, higher energy prices, and degrading local water sources. We need a cap on the number of data centers in the US and make sure we're meeting our renewable energy targets to address climate change.<h4>We need scientists in Congress who understand climate science and its relationship with agricultural, energy, and foreign policy.</h4><h4>We don't have more time to waste!</h4>

Addressing Climate Change

This campaign supports domestic and international movements that support human rights and liberation of oppressed peoples. What we allow our government to do to the least of us, we allow them to do to all of us.We will advocate for policies and stand in solidarity with movements that support workers' rights, LGBTQ+ rights, immigrant communities, indigenous communities, access to abortion, prison reform and reducing incarceration, disability rights, and more.We must also be urgent with shrinking the wealth gap in this country that has affected the black community the most, brought about by hundreds of years of wage theft, property theft, and land theft that has never been addressed or compensated.Fighting for liberation includes fighting for the liberation of Palestinians. The people of Palestine have lived under Israel's illegal occupation for over 20 years, and dealt with Israel's policy of land theft and settler violence for over 70 years.I will be fighting for policies and legislation that include an end to US military and economic support for Israel and international recognition of Palestinian's rights to return, self-determination, and statehood.

The campaign supports policies and movements that support American and international human rights and the liberation of all oppressed peoples.

Human Rights and Liberation

Americans are tired of our tax money being sent overseas for bailouts and foreign wars, when we can’t even afford rent, childcare, and groceries.We’re tired of our paychecks being looted for a $1 trillion Pentagon budget that's never passed an audit, instead of funding housing and healthcareWars are fought by the working class, paid for by the working class, and inflicted upon the working class.An ANTI WAR agenda will cut wasteful military spending by $150 billion to fund affordable housing, infrastructure, trade schools and community college, public safety, and more.An ANTI WAR agenda is a CLIMATE agenda. The US military is the largest source of emissions on the planet. We stand no chance of addressing climate change while we continue bombing the Global South and escalate conflicts with Russia and China.An ANTI WAR agenda would end all US unilateral sanctions. Americans are tired of our tax money being used for wars when we can’t afford rent, childcare, and groceries. We should be building communities here in America, not bombing them overseas.

ANTI WAR

The top 1% of this country owns more wealth than the bottom 50%.Five people own more wealth than half the world’s population.Billionaires pay a lower tax rate than teachers and truck drivers.Income inequality and corporate greed have gotten out of control. Billionaires exploit the working-class, gamble with the stock market until they crash the economy, and buy our elections.Polls have shown that over 70 - 80% of the Democratic base supports reducing military spending, Medicare for All, and taxing the rich. But the Democratic establishment won't put forward these policies so they can keep their corporate and billionaire donors.It’s time to raise taxes on corporations and billionaires, pay the working-class fair wages, support organized labor and workers' rights nationwide, and get money out of our politics.

The top 1% own more wealth than the bottom 50%. We need income and wealth taxes on billionaires and corporations that give power back to farmers, unions, and the working class.

TAX THE BILLIONAIRES

<h4>Rural communities have been shrinking for decades. Small towns have a hard time attracting investment and job opportunities. People shouldn’t have to move away from home just to find work.&nbsp;&nbsp;</h4>Smaller, family farms help build stronger communities. Large-scale, monoculture farms that are exploited by multinational corporations have led to shrinking communities and less sustainable farming.Rural communities have been hit hard by military base closures. The US has over 750 military bases with over 250,000 service members overseas. Overseas bases are more expensive to operate and more dangerous for our troops.We need to bring our troops and bases back home and spend our tax dollars on American communities. Rural military offices and bases could revitalize Small-Town America and rebuild Main Street. Low interest farm loans for veterans could create a pipeline of farmers for the next generation.Congress needs veto power over tariffs. One person in the White House shouldn't be able to disrupt international markets that have taken decades to develop. We need to expand federal subsidies and supports for specialty crops, not just industrial commodity crops.We need investments in rural healthcare to address the gap in medical coverage and mental health crisis. Rural communities have some of the highest rates of suicide and addiction, and we need to rebuild these communities and mental health services. Medicare for All can help stimulate small businesses in rural communities by reducing risk for entrepreneurs.We need investments and transition to diversified crops that are resilient to changing drought and heat conditions.We need a RURAL AMERICA RENEWAL AGENDA!

We need politicians that will help build strong cities and rural communities. We need to reinvest in rural communities and rebuild Small-Town America.
